Needham, MA - March 19, 2009- Exceptional quality and design is the rule rather than the exception at K. Powers & Company as we offer the largest selection of exquisite floor coverings in the area. In partnership with International Design Guild, an alliance of luxury floor covering showrooms throughout the U.S. and Canada we are pleased to announce the kick-off of our 2009 Designer Showcase Awards on March 16th 2009. "This is an opportunity to honor our designers for their unique vision and talent", said Kathleen Powers, owner of K. Powers & Company.
With an ever increasing number of entries each year, our desire to sponsor this event has never been greater. We love showcasing the beautiful interiors our design clients create and love the recognition they receive for the beauty and austerity they create for home and business owners throughout the New England area.
This year's contest applicants have the opportunity to win up to $5,000 in cash awards for the Louis A. Dabbieri Award of Distinction. There will also be an honorable mention category that awards a $2,500 cash prize and 3 honorable mention awards of $1,000 each. Winners are chosen from hundreds of entries, as a panel of seasoned luxury floor covering showroom owners judge entries based upon individuality, use of color, and over all design. Special attention and consideration is placed on the use of our premier brand- the Louis A. Dabbieri Collection. Contestants are asked to submit entries on or before June 23, 2009 and winning entries will be featured on www.dabbiericollection.com.
Designers interested in submitting entries to the 2009 Designer Showcase Awards may obtain an Official Entry Form from K. Powers & Company or by visiting our website at www.kpowers.com.
The form, along with a high-resolution photograph and a description of the designer's creation, must be postmarked on or by June 23, 2009.
